These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Believers Sword application and related websites and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by the Believers Sword team ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & Accounts

You may use the Service without an account to read and study offline. Some features — including cross-device sync, the web app, and AI features — require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You may delete your account at any time from within the app or via our account deletion page.

The Service

Believers Sword is a Bible reader and study tool. Bible texts provided in the Service are public-domain or appropriately licensed translations. Your personal study data — such as notes, highlights, bookmarks, and prayer lists — belongs to you. We store and sync this data only to provide the Service to you.

Subscriptions & Billing

Believers Sword offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers ("Sync" and "Pro"). Current pricing and features are described on our pricing page.

• Paid subscriptions are purchased and billed through the app store on the platform where you subscribe (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play). Your subscription is tied to your account and unlocks the corresponding features across mobile, desktop, and the web app.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the current paid period.
• Prices may change. Where required, we will give advance notice, and any change will apply only to subsequent billing periods.

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy and the policies of the app store through which you purchased.

AI Features & Acceptable Use

Paid tiers include AI-assisted features such as verse insights, sermon preparation, devotionals, and chat. These features run online and are provided subject to fair-use limits that refresh periodically. By using them you understand and agree that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or theologically imprecise. It is provided as a study aid only and is not a substitute for Scripture, prayer, or pastoral and theological counsel. You are encouraged to test all content against the Bible and sound biblical teaching.
• You will not use the AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, hateful, deceptive, or abusive content, or to attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
• We may set, change, or enforce usage limits and may suspend access in cases of abuse to keep the Service reliable for everyone.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service (such as notes and sermons). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and sync that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to any material you submit or share.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
